WHAT: Rochester, Michigan screening of Iraq for Sale

The Oakland University Global Security Forum will include a screening of "Iraq for Sale" and a personal appearance by the film's producer/director, Robert Greenwald. Greenwald will introduce the film and take questions after the viewing.
Also part of the forum will be panel presentations by Jodi Nachtwey of Wayne State University and Peter Shields of Eastern Washington University. Nachtwey, a professor of political science who has conducted research with the U.S. State Department on Middle East media and public opinion, will discuss current Iraqi attitudes toward political governance, the role of Islam in politics, and attitudes toward sectarian relations. Shields, a well known media studies professor, will describe how U.S. security concerns are shaping public media and information technology systems.
Audience discussion will follow both panel presentations and the film screening.
