This will be an indoor, "Ravinia Style" event, bring lawn chairs or a picnic blanket and a cell phone. We will be providing snacks, drinks (beer, wine & pop), encouragement and a thought provoking movie. First we’ll make get-out-the-vote calls to progressives in districts where Republicans who backed the war are close to defeat. Don't worry if you have never worked a phone bank before, it's easy and fun! You don't have to convince anyone of anything, just collect critical information that will be used to help take back congress from the republicans. Then we’ll watch Iraq For Sale, a powerful new movie from the makers of Outfoxed about the corporations who’re cashing in on Iraq. The New York Times said this movie is "a horrifying catalog of greed, corruption and incompetence", the LA times said this movie "might unite viewers across all political spectra". You must see this movie! Democracy is not a spectator sport! This is your chance to do something to fight for freedom and democracy right here at home and have fun with your friends at the same time!
